December 6 marks 112 years since the birth of the outstanding physician-surgeon, scientist, and public figure - Mykola Mykhailovych Amosov. He was born on 06.12.1913 in the village of Olkhove (now in the Vologda region of Russia) and passed away on 12.12.2002 in Kyiv, Ukraine.
Amosov was a recognized doctor of medical sciences, professor, and academician of many scientific institutions. His research dealt with various fields of medicine, biocybernetics, philosophy, and mental functions of the brain.
