Active Life of Petro Sydorenko
81-year-old Petro Sydorenko from the village of Novoselyivka in Chernihiv region leads an active lifestyle, hardening himself with cold water, exercising, and dancing. Every morning he washes himself with ice-cold water and also dances barefoot in the snow. This has become part of his daily routine, as, according to Petro, he has gotten used to such rituals.

Petro keeps more than 30 heads of livestock, among which are:
- dog
- cat
- rabbits
- ducks
- chickens
His morning activities are not limited to just physical exercise; the main work in the morning involves taking care of the farm and also cleaning the snow. Petro worked at a bakery and other heavy industries until retirement, which also shaped his desire for activity in old age.
Endurance in Times of War
The war that struck Ukraine has made its adjustments in Petro's life. He notes: 'The war has taken a lot. What remains has to be fed.' Despite the difficulties, the grandfather continues to lead an active lifestyle, demonstrating an example of endurance and optimism.
