Last Friday marked the 100th anniversary of the outstanding figure - Volodymyr Romanyuk. This man was not only an Orthodox theologian but also an active participant in the Ukrainian national liberation struggle.

Volodymyr Romanyuk was born into a poor family, but even in childhood, he showed a passion for Ukrainian culture and history. His life was marked by severe trials - arrests and imprisonments for his participation in the nationalist movement. However, these obstacles did not stop Romanyuk in his fight for a free Ukraine.

‘In 1944, he was arrested for his activities in the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists and sentenced to 20 years in prison with confiscation of property,’ the source says.

Volodymyr Romanyuk is a person who fought for ideals and principles that his generation implemented in faith and practice. His life is an example of dedication, courage, and faith in the victory of good over evil.
