The British paratrooper George Guly, who died in Ukraine as a result of an accident, left a letter for his relatives and friends before his death. In the letter, he urged them not to mourn him, but to be proud of his actions and to remember him with pride.
The UK Ministry of Defence shared this letter with the public to pay tribute to Corporal Guly and convey his words to his relatives and friends. The fallen serviceman was in Ukraine observing the testing of a new defense system when the tragedy occurred.
We express our condolences to the relatives, friends, and colleagues of Corporal Guly. May his actions remain in memory as a dedication to the country and a desire to serve freedom and democracy.
