Acer's New Laptops Debut at IFA 2023
At 09:14 on September 7, Acer unveiled the Swift Blade 14 and Swift Air 16 at its IFA press event in Berlin. Both notebooks run Windows 11, and the company used the showcase to spell out hardware details and regional release windows. For context, IFA is one of Europe's biggest stages for consumer tech, and Acer routinely picks it for major announcements.

Acer also showed off its AR Vision GR0 augmented reality glasses and GI0 smart glasses back in June 2026. The AR Vision GR0 handles both 2D and 3D content, simulating a 172-inch display seen from six meters away. The GI0 smart glasses weigh just 46 grams and connect over Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0. They pair with Android 12 or iOS 15 devices through the Acer AspireSync app, using Google Gemini for voice commands, image analysis, and translation.
These two notebooks mark a notable step in Acer's effort to offer lightweight yet powerful Windows portables for professionals and everyday users alike. The extremely light Blade 14 is easy to position as a travel-ready companion, while the Air 16's dedicated NPU plus fast charging points toward users wrestling with heavy-duty tasks.
