At the beginning of August, Ukraine has already harvested crops from 39% of the sown areas - 4,423.9 thousand hectares and 15,474 thousand tons of grain and leguminous crops. This is reported by the Ministry of Economy, Ecology, and Agriculture.
How much grain and legumes have been harvested:
- Wheat - harvested 3,054.2 thousand hectares, yield - 11,357.8 thousand tons;
- Barley - harvested 1,014.8 thousand hectares, yield - 3,572.8 thousand tons;
- Peas - harvested 208.2 thousand hectares, yield - 492.2 thousand tons;
- Other grains and legumes harvested on an area of 145.5 thousand hectares, yield 50.4 thousand tons.
The most productive regions:
- Odesa region - harvested 1,070.4 thousand hectares, yield - 3,089.1 thousand tons;
- Kirovohrad region - harvested 462.9 thousand hectares, yield - 1,927.5 thousand tons;
- Poltava region - harvested 344.7 thousand hectares, yield - 1,519.8 thousand tons;
Agrarians of Dnipropetrovsk and Kherson regions have already started harvesting millet from an area of 1.2 thousand hectares, yielding 83 tons. Rapeseed has been harvested on an area of 781.9 thousand hectares, yielding 1,761.5 thousand tons.
Increase in agricultural enterprises in Ukraine:
From 2022 to 2025, 2.5 times more agricultural companies opened in Ukraine than closed. 5,966 new agricultural enterprises were registered, the largest number in Odesa region.
After the opening of the land market in Ukraine in July 2021, the average price per hectare increased by 60%. Thus, in June 2025, a hectare of land could be purchased for 60,700 UAH.
In the height of the summer season, Ukrainian agrarians continue to actively harvest crops and develop their enterprises. The increase in the amount of harvested grain and the development of new agricultural enterprises indicate positive trends in the agricultural sector of the country.
