Oleksandr Smirnov, who was a veteran and a policeman, shared his story about the difficult trials on the front that his family helps him endure.

Hard Fate on the Front

At the age of 26, Oleksandr worked in the police, where he documented the war crimes of the Russians. However, in 2023, he decided to leave this job and join the National Police brigade 'Lut' at the front. During the battles near Kostiantynivka, he was wounded and had to amputate his leg.

Currently, Oleksandr is undergoing treatment and rehabilitation, preparing for prosthetics. He endures the harsh trials thanks to the support of his loved ones, particularly his wife and little daughter.

Participating in the war, we defend our country, but it is often difficult to endure this war alone. Support from family and close ones helps veterans like Oleksandr Smirnov to get through tough times and recover from injuries and losses on the front.
