Hourly power outage schedules in most regions of Ukraine
Tomorrow, December 20, hourly power outage schedules and capacity limitation schedules (for industrial consumers) will be applied in most regions of Ukraine. This was reported by 'Glavkom' referencing 'Ukrenergo'.
The reason for implementing restrictions is the consequences of Russian missile-drone attacks on energy facilities.
Preparation for power outages
'The situation in the energy system may change. The time and extent of outages at your address – find out on the official pages of the power distribution company in your region. When electricity is available according to the schedule – please consume it sparingly!' – the message states.
Moreover, in the context of heightened risks to Ukraine's energy infrastructure, it is critically important to be prepared for scheduled, emergency, or prolonged power outages, especially during the cold season. 'Glavkom' has gathered recommendations to help properly prepare your home, stock up on essentials, and know how to act when light, heat, and water go out.
An expert explained that power outage schedules may change several times a day due to increased risk of attacks on energy facilities.
Preparing for possible power outages is critically important for ensuring the safety and comfort of Ukrainian households. Following recommendations and timely consumption of electricity can help avoid negative consequences amid energy instability.
