The Polish Ministry of Internal Affairs is preparing to release a brochure with advice for citizens regarding actions in the event of war or natural disasters. The Deputy Director of the Department of Civil Protection and Crisis Management in Poland, Robert Klonowski, stated that the brochure will contain recommendations on obtaining drinking water and actions in case of airstrikes or power outages.

“Wars are not won on the front lines. The example of Ukraine clearly demonstrates this,” noted Klonowski.

This initiative aims to strengthen national resilience in the face of increased regional instability, particularly due to military events in Ukraine. The brochure will be published in September in Polish and will later be available in English and Ukrainian. There are also plans to issue a version for the blind in Braille and for children. The ministry plans to distribute printed copies of the brochure to all households in the country.

Military Qualification in Poland

From February 2 to April 30, 2026, Poland will conduct a large-scale military qualification, to which more than 200,000 citizens will be called up. This will include both men and women. Meanwhile, the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has recommended refraining from traveling to the Russian Federation.
