How to receive financial assistance of 400 euros for Ukrainians in Spain

Spain continues to support Ukrainians who have been forced to leave their homes due to the war. One of the key assistance programs provides for monthly payments: 400 euros for adults and 100 euros for children under 18 years old. This support is intended to cover basic living expenses and help families adapt to the country. This is reported by Zayava.info.

Financial assistance of 400 euros: who can receive it

The financial program is not available to everyone, but only to those Ukrainians who meet certain criteria. The main requirements are:

  • temporary protection status Protección Temporal;
  • lack of stable income;
  • having registration at the place of residence (empadronamiento);
  • no other official assistance for refugees.

Payments amount to 400 euros for an adult and 100 euros for a child, for a maximum period of six months. For example, a family of two adults and a child would receive 900 euros per month.

How to receive assistance: step-by-step instructions

To apply for payments, several steps need to be taken. The procedure is the same throughout the country, although specific details may vary depending on the municipality.

  1. Apply for temporary protection. This can be done at the offices of Policía Nacional or at CREADE centers.
  2. Register at the place of residence. Obtain the empadronamiento certificate at the town hall.
  3. Contact social services. An appointment with the social worker is mandatory.
  4. Prepare documents:
     
    • TIE or certificate of Protección Temporal;
    • empadronamiento;
    • proof of lack of income;
    • details of a Spanish bank account.

The social worker will assess the situation and submit the application on behalf of the applicant.
