From May 4, 2026, Ukrainians under temporary protection in Poland will be able to apply for a CUKR card — a new type of residence permit for three years. The procedure will be fully digitized, eliminating paper applications. This is reported by «inPoland».
CUKR Card in Poland: how to apply online
The application will exclusively take place through the MOS system (Moduł Obsługi Spraw). Personal presence is not required at the initial stage — the entire process is conducted online.
To apply, you need to:
-
create an account in the MOS system;
-
log in through digital identification (Profil Zaufany or electronic signature);
-
fill out a questionnaire with personal details;
-
add a photo and payment confirmation;
-
sign the application electronically and send it to the voivodeship office.
Submitting paper documents is not provided. The review of the application may take several months.
Applications can be submitted from May 4, 2026, to March 4, 2027.
Cost of the CUKR card: how much you need to pay
Obtaining the card requires mandatory payment before submitting documents.
The total cost is:
-
440 zlotys — includes stamp duty;
-
payment for manufacturing the physical residence card.
Without proof of payment, the system will not allow you to submit an application.
The CUKR card is available to Ukrainians who have an active PESEL UKR status and previously had temporary protection.
It grants the right to:
-
live in Poland for three years;
-
work without additional permits;
-
not require the employer to notify the labor office;
-
count this period towards the experience required for long-term residency in the EU.
Let us remind you that the deadline for Ukrainians in Poland to apply for PESEL UKR will be restricted.
