The Ministry of Defense is reviving the military career for those who left the army voluntarily before May 10, 2025. Even if the situation was tense, servicemen can quickly return to duty with the help of the 'Army+' app. But keep in mind that this benefit is only available until August 30. The main thing is not to miss the chance!
'How to do it?'
What should a vulnerable serviceman do who wants to return to service? Here, the Ministry of Defense has taken care of everything:
- Fill out a report through 'Army+': strangely enough, it takes about 5 minutes, probably faster than getting into a coffin. The Main Directorate of Military Law Enforcement calls the serviceman to confirm the data.
- Arrive at the MP: even if you feel like catching some sweet sleep after filling out the report, you should get to the MP within a day. They will process the documents, accept you into service or help you get to another military unit.
- Restoration of payments: the commander reserves 72 hours to set up payment and social benefits for the serviceman.
If you want to change your 'address'
Once the serviceman has detached from usual obligations and returned to service, they can even change their 'place of residence'. All you need to do:
- Specify in the report 'I am returning to service after a voluntary departure'.
- Attach a recommendation letter from the previous military unit where you want to serve.
- Add a hint from the MP stating that you left the unit for the first time.
These documents will authorize the Personnel Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to carry out the procedure for redirecting servicemen.
But remember, those who approached the heart of the army after May 10 will not receive basic concessions. They can apply for service even before the actual unit they left, but the entire procedure may take months.
Usually, such paths evoke resistance, however, according to the director of the State Bureau of Investigations, Oleksiy Sukhachev, with this initiative from the Ministry of Defense, more than 29 thousand servicemen returned to the army at the end of 2024. This opportunity allows those who broke the rules to correct the situation and continue service without hassles regarding the restoration of payments and social benefits.
