On Christmas Eve, December 24, public transport in Zaporizhzhia will operate with changes. The reason is the temporary closure of bus and trolleybus movement across the DniproHES dam. As a result, the movement of trams, trolleybuses, and buses has been organized according to adjusted schemes. This is reported by the Zaporizhzhia City Council.
The Department of Transport and Communications informed that the operation of the transport of the communal enterprise Zaporizhelektrotrans was planned considering restrictions and an increase in passenger flow on the festive day.
How public transport in Zaporizhzhia will operate on December 24
On Christmas Eve, the following trolleybuses will be in service:
№3 — «4th South Microdistrict – Zaporizhzhia Square»;
№8 — «Simferopol Highway – Zaporizhzhia Square»;
№9 — «ZAlK House of Culture – Sedova Street»;
№14 — «Simferopol Highway – Embankment»;
№17 — «Sedova Street – Zaporizhzhia Square».
The movement of trolleybuses №1 and №11 is temporarily suspended.
Trams will operate on routes №3, №10, and №15. At the same time, changes have been made:
tram №14 will operate on the route «Autostrada – Freedom Square»;
tram №16 — «Pavlo-Kichkas – Zaporizhzhia Circus».
The movement of tram №12 is temporarily canceled.
Buses and backup schemes
Bus routes №7, №29, №34a, №38, №39, №56, №59, №71, №86, №94, №97, and №98 will run according to approved schemes. Additional routes are also provided:
«Sedova Street – Metallurgists Avenue»;
«Zavod “Zaporizhkabel” – Metallurgists Avenue».
Routes №17, №18, and №72 from the Borodinsk and Osipenko neighborhoods will go around through Khortytsia and Metallurgists Avenue.
In case of power outages on tram lines №10, №12, №14, and №15, bus №56 will operate to the stop «Freedom Square». The number of vehicles on bus routes will also be increased. Detailed schedules are posted on the company's website.
Recall that in Zaporizhzhia the digital transport card «Sich General» has been introduced, which allows payment for travel in public transport directly from a smartphone.
