Rapper Bad Bunny made history at the Super Bowl, becoming the first headliner of the halftime show to perform the entire program in Spanish. His 14-minute performance at the NFL championship turned into an emotional declaration of love for Puerto Rico and a call for unity in America. This was reported by BBC News.

Despite the lack of direct political statements, the show provoked outrage from Donald Trump, who called the performance 'one of the worst in history' and criticized the language, choreography, and content of the program on his social media platform Truth Social.

Bad Bunny's Performance at the Super Bowl

The Super Bowl final took place at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, known as Bad Bunny, emphasized the idea of unity in the USA by performing the entire set in Spanish. The only phrase in English was 'God bless America,' after which the artist listed the countries of North, Central, and South America.

The stage featured phrases such as 'The only thing stronger than hate is love' and 'Together we are America.' The rapper performed a medley of his hits, including Tití Me Preguntó, MONACO, and BAILE INoLVIDABLE, focusing on songs from the album that recently won a Grammy.

Donald Trump's Reaction and the Context of the Show

Donald Trump was not present at the stadium as an alternative event called All-American Halftime Show, organized by the Turning Point USA movement, took place with headliner Kid Rock.

The decorations of Bad Bunny's show recreated a Puerto Rican neighborhood and a sugarcane plantation. The performance featured Pedro Pascal, Jessica Alba, Karol G, Cardi B, Lady Gaga, and Ricky Martin. One of the episodes symbolized the consequences of Hurricane Maria in 2017, after which the artist actively criticized the actions of the US federal government.

Additionally, Ukrainian vocal teacher Elena Ukraina became popular on TikTok, and Lady Gaga shared her video.
