How public transport will operate in Zaporizhzhia on January 29

In Zaporizhzhia on January 29, public transport will operate on altered schedules due to the temporary closure of bus and trolleybus traffic across the DniproHES dam. The restrictions affect part of the trolleybus and tram routes, as well as bus traffic in various districts of the city. This was reported by the Zaporizhzhia City Council in a statement.

As reported by the Department of Transportation and Communication, the operation of urban transport has been organized taking into account detours and additional routes to maintain connectivity between districts.

Public transport in Zaporizhzhia on January 29: trolleybuses and trams

The trolleybus routes will operate:

  • №3: 4th Southern Microdistrict – Zaporizhzhia Square

  • №8: Simferopol Highway – Zaporizhzhia Square

  • №9: House of Culture ZAlK – Sedova Street

  • №14: Simferopol Highway – Embankment

  • №25: Sedova Street – Zaporizhzhia Square

The operation of trolleybus routes №1 and №11 is temporarily suspended.

Trams will operate:

  • on routes №3, №10, and №15 – according to the existing schedules

  • route №14 – Avtostrada – Freedom Square

  • route №16 – Pavlo-Kichkas – Zaporizhzhia Circus

Tram route №12 will not operate temporarily.

Bus movement in Zaporizhzhia: changed and additional routes

Buses will operate on routes №7, №29, №34a, №38, №39, №56, №59, №71, №86, №94, №97, and №98 according to the approved schedules. Additional routes have also been organized:

  • Pishchana Street – Metallurgists Avenue

  • Zaporizhzhia Kabel Plant – Metallurgists Avenue

Routes №17, №18, and №72 from Borodynskyi and Osypenkivskyi microdistricts will follow detours across Khortytsia Island and Zaporizhzhia Square.

Current traffic schedules have been published on the website of the municipal enterprise Zaporizhelektrotrans.

The city council also warned that due to possible power outages, the movement of electric transport may be limited further, along with the launch of compensatory bus routes.

It is also reminded that in the public transport of Zaporizhzhia, panic buttons have been installed connected to the centralized monitoring station of the security police.
