The State Statistics Service of Ukraine released a report on 'The total area of residential buildings commissioned'. According to this report, from January to June 2025, a total of 4272.6 thousand square meters of residential buildings were put into operation in Ukraine. This is 6.4% less than in the previous period of January-June 2024.
The most new housing was built in Kyiv city, and Kyiv and Lviv regions, which together accounted for 43% of the total area. The highest growth rates in this indicator were noted in Odesa and Cherkasy regions (an increase of 56.0% and 51.3% respectively).
At the same time, a significant decrease was recorded in Kharkiv and Zhytomyr regions, where the construction of new residential buildings decreased by 40.4% and 37.7% respectively.
