Ramstein: Partner countries allocated billions of euros for air defense and drones for Ukraine

The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, noted that during the 'Ramstein' format meeting, important commitments were received from partners regarding support for the country.




  • Germany promised to invest 11.5 billion euros by 2026 to support Ukraine's defense, including air defense systems, drones, and artillery shells.

  • The United Kingdom plans to enhance Ukraine's air defense capabilities with 600 million pounds from frozen Russian assets and other sources.



'Thank you to the partners for these contributions, which save lives, strengthen all of Europe, and bring us closer to true peace,' emphasized Denys Shmyhal.



  • Canada allocated an additional 30 million Canadian dollars for Ukrainian drones and electro-optical sensors.

  • The Netherlands plans to invest 700 million euros in drones, including products made in Ukraine.



Support for Ukraine was also promised by Montenegro, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, and the Czech Republic.



Ukraine received promises from partners regarding financial support and strengthening defense readiness. The openness of such international partnerships is important for ensuring security and peace in the region.
