According to a new report from Deutsche Bank, rental prices in the centers of European cities continue to rise. Only in five cities is the average cost of renting a three-room apartment less than 2 thousand euros. The most significant price increase over the past five years occurred in Southern and Eastern Europe.

According to Eurostat data, housing prices have increased by 27.3% over five years, while rent in city centers has risen by 12.5%. In 2025, the monthly rent for a three-bedroom apartment ranges from 1080 euros in Athens to 5088 euros in London. After London, the highest rental prices are in Zurich, Geneva, and Amsterdam.

Exhausting rental figures

Residents of Dublin, Luxembourg, Paris, Copenhagen, and Munich pay more than 3 thousand euros for rent, as these cities are financial and political centers. Meanwhile, several places in Europe have an average rent of 2 to 3 thousand euros, including Madrid, Stockholm, Berlin, Frankfurt, and Barcelona.

The report from Deutsche Bank shows that rental prices for housing in the centers of European cities continue to rise, particularly in Southern and Eastern Europe. This means that residents of many large cities are forced to spend more and more on housing, especially in Europe's financial and political centers.
