In Ukraine, in March 2026, the labor market has changed significantly: salaries have increased and the demand for specialists in key sectors has risen sharply. The largest incomes are now received not only in business but also in the defense and reconstruction of the country. This is reported by TSN.
Highest Paid Professions in Ukraine 2026: Salary Rankings
According to OLX Work analysts, during the full-scale war, the number of vacancies increased by 13%, and the median salary nearly doubled (+94%). The market has effectively become a 'candidate's market,' where employers compete for employees.
The list of highest salaries includes:

real estate brokers – 112,500 UAH (+72% from 2022)

service in the Defense Forces – an average of 70,600 UAH

facade workers – about 65,000 UAH (+86%)

plasterers – 62,800 UAH (+128%)
-
bricklayers – 55,000 UAH (+57%).
Thus, the top positions went to professions related to infrastructure reconstruction and the country's security.

The labor market has formed a gap between business needs and people's expectations. Companies are actively searching for workers for physical jobs, while candidates prefer remote vacancies.
The highest demand from employers includes:

In recent years, the structure of the market has changed dramatically. If before 2022, the most profitable professions were truck drivers and work abroad, now the leading specialties are related to the reconstruction of the country and defense. At the same time, Ukrainians increasingly prefer comfortable forms of employment, even despite high salaries in physical professions.
