Ahead of the summer tourist season, employers in Odessa and the Carpathians have intensified their search for staff. The highest demand is traditionally observed in the fields of retail, hospitality, and service, with some vacancies offering salaries exceeding 40,000 UAH. This is reported by RBK-Ukraine citing a study by OLX Work.
What salaries are offered for seasonal jobs in Odessa
Employers are mainly looking for salespeople, drivers, cooks, loaders, laborers, baristas, waiters, and cleaners.
The highest median salaries are:

Over the year, salaries for loaders (+29%), cooks (+20%), cleaners (+18%), salespeople (+16%), and drivers (+13%) have risen the most. Meanwhile, the number of vacancies in Odessa has increased by only 1%.
Which vacancies pay the best in the Carpathians
In the tourist areas of the Carpathians, the number of vacancies has increased by almost 13% over the year. Employers are mainly looking for salespeople, cooks, drivers, administrators, maids, laborers, and loaders.
The level of median salaries is as follows:

The most significant annual salary increases were seen for drivers (+30%), salespeople (+23%), sales representatives (+25%), and maids (+15%). Meanwhile, salaries for loaders decreased by 25%, and for cleaners by 28%.
Where is competition for vacancies the highest
In Odessa, the highest competition is observed for the administrator position – almost 11 responses for one vacancy. There is also high demand among job seekers for laborer, barista, cleaner, and security guard positions.
In the Carpathians, the highest competition is noted among security guards – an average of 12 candidates for one vacancy. Maids, builders, drivers, and waiters are also actively seeking employment.
