Andrii Isaenko and His Wife’s Political Aspirations
Film and TV star Andrii Isaenko has stated that he personally has no political ambitions, but his wife, director Olesia Morhunets, plans to enter politics. Isaenko expressed skepticism about the difficulty of transforming the political system:
My wife wants to go into politics herself and change the system. That’s just how she is. She believes in it, but I don’t. I think the system is hard to break.

Isaenko, who once called himself a "Porokhobot" (a supporter of former President Petro Poroshenko), shifted his attitude toward President Volodymyr Zelensky after the start of the full-scale war. He emphasized:
I really don’t like talking about politics. I can’t say I’ve completely changed my stance. I just saw that the person changed, and I like that trend. The war really transformed him.

He also shared his thoughts on Ukraine’s fifth president, Petro Poroshenko, suggesting that Poroshenko is unlikely to return to the presidency:
- Whatever ambitions he may have, I don’t think it will happen.
The actor met Poroshenko after the release of the film 'Cyborgs', in which Isaenko played the role of fighter Subota. During that meeting, they shared a meal of pilaf together. Isaenko added:
- It was more of an introduction. After 'Cyborgs', we all sat together—he gathered us.
In this way, Isaenko outlined his perspective on Ukraine’s political landscape, highlighting shifts in his personal perception of politicians and his views on his wife’s potential political career.
Isaenko’s statements reflect not only his personal opinions but also broader societal sentiments about political change in Ukraine. As the country experiences war and social transformation, there is a growing need for fresh faces and ideas, which could serve as a catalyst for emerging politicians like Olesia Morhunets. This also points to a trend of re-evaluating the role of culture and the arts in political processes, as many artists are beginning to show interest in active public engagement.
In addition to his evolving political views, Andrii Isaenko recently shared insights into another aspect of his career: his fees in the film industry. This discussion sheds light on the financial realities faced by actors in Ukraine, particularly in light of the ongoing war and its impact on the entertainment sector.
