Al-Ahli wants to sign a contract with Messi - media

The management of the Saudi club 'Al-Ahli' is trying to convince Lionel Messi to join them in December when his contract with 'Inter Miami' ends, reports 'Glavkom' citing information from L'Équipe.

'Inter Miami', in turn, wants to keep the Argentine after his first two years in MLS.

This year, Saudi clubs already tried to secure Messi over the summer of 2023 after his contract with 'PSG' ended. Financial details of the current negotiations are not disclosed. Saudi Arabia, which will host the World Cup in 2034, is interested in Messi's transfer.

In the semifinals of the Club World Cup, 'Real' will play against the reigning Champions League winner PSG, while the other pair will consist of Brazilian 'Fluminense' and London 'Chelsea'.
