American Airlines has suspended pilots who expressed joy over the killing of American political activist Charlie Kirk. According to U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, the pilots were fired after social media users exposed one of them for mocking Kirk's death. American Airlines calls such behavior disgusting and incompatible with its values. The company stated that any expression of hatred or hostility is unacceptable, and pilots who spread political violence on social media will be immediately suspended from flying.

The killing of Charlie Kirk sparked public reaction and led authorities to strengthen security measures at events attended by President Donald Trump. The tragedy occurred in Utah, where the activist was shot while speaking at a university. The U.S. Secret Service decided to enhance security measures due to the murder of Charlie Kirk, which was committed from the roof of a building near the location of his speech.
