Teledyne Unveils Upgraded Rogue 1 Block 2 Loitering Munition

On May 26 at 6:30 PM, Teledyne announced it is now accepting orders for its upgraded Rogue 1 Block 2 kamikaze drone. This latest variant introduces substantial improvements over its predecessor. The drone’s operational range has been extended to over 19 kilometers (12 miles)—double that of the Rogue 1 Block 1. In addition, the propeller system has been completely redesigned, boosting overall efficiency.

Key Features of the Rogue 1 Block 2

A standout feature of this new drone is its speed, reaching approximately 113 km/h (70 mph). The design supports vertical takeoff and landing, enhancing ease of use. The Rogue 1 Block 2 is hand-launched without the need for specialized launch equipment, simplifying deployment in the field.

  • New anti-tank warhead utilizing shaped-charge explosive technology
  • Stabilized system with electro-optical and thermal cameras for surveillance and target acquisition
  • Dual-band radio communication and a more powerful onboard computer for GPS-denied navigation

Initial deliveries of the new drone are scheduled for late 2025. An illustration of the Rogue 1 Block 2 loitering munition is featured in Teledyne’s promotional materials.
