Unveiling the Revolutionary M1 Hybrid Aircraft
On November 7 at 18:02, Maxwell Aircraft, a US-based company, revealed its latest innovation: the M1 Hybrid amphibious plane. Combining electric motors with traditional fuel engines, this aircraft is capable of taking off from both land runways and water surfaces. Designed specifically for cargo transport, it can carry loads up to 907 kilograms over distances reaching 1852 kilometers. Its cargo door, measuring 1.5 meters wide, facilitates easy loading and unloading.
Maxwell Aircraft has also filed a patent for a mechanically linked hybrid powertrain developed for the M1 Hybrid. This system delivers up to 1500 horsepower during takeoff and initial climb. While cruising, the engines operate at approximately 300 horsepower total, split evenly between two engines producing 150 horsepower each. The cruising powertrain utilizes a compound turbocharged engine with direct injection, running on Jet A fuel.
