Michael Kofman, an analyst at the Carnegie Endowment, has issued a stark warning. He states that while U.S. military aid constitutes only 20% of the total support Ukraine receives, this specific portion is absolutely critical. “It’s just 20 percent of the effort, but if you take away the PAC-3 interceptors, the GMLRS for HIMARS, all the American spare parts and maintenance, the thousands of artillery shells we still send every month, and other capabilities—plus U.S. intelligence, without which Ukraine would lose most of its reconnaissance support—these last 20 percent could prove critical in six months,” Kofman stressed.
