The Appeals Chamber of VAKS confirmed that an unjustified asset belonging to the prosecutor from the Office of the Prosecutor General can be confiscated. The Chamber's decision supported the position of the SAP prosecutor who had brought this issue to court. The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption - NACP established that the prosecutor received 1,946,000 hryvnias as a gift from his mother, but the possibility of obtaining part of this money has not been confirmed.
Thus, the court supported the decision to confiscate 1,640,000 hryvnias from the prosecutor. The decision of the Appeals Chamber of VAKS takes legal effect immediately after its announcement.
