Partners from Japan are ready to develop Ukraine's agricultural sector. Representatives of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) have confirmed their readiness for further development of partnership initiatives aimed at modernizing and recovering the agricultural sector.
According to the Ministry of Economy, Ecology, and Agriculture, these achievements have become possible after the fourth meeting of the Japan-Ukraine Joint Working Group on Agriculture Recovery Strategy (Joint Task Force – JTF).
The Deputy Minister of Economy, Ecology, and Agriculture of Ukraine, Denys Bashlyk, emphasized the importance of developing bilateral cooperation in the field of agricultural recovery.
During the meeting, issues of implementing Japanese technologies and innovations into the Ukrainian agricultural sector were discussed. The Ukrainian delegation presented an updated analytical overview of the current state of agriculture.
Representatives of the parties discussed the diversification of export markets, particularly highlighting the European Union, Middle Eastern countries, Africa, and Asia.
Present at the meeting were representatives of Japanese companies NTC International, Greein Inc., Seiwa Co., Zensho Holdings, and Mayekawa MFG, who presented projects to support Ukraine's agriculture.
After the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to expand cooperation and joint projects in agriculture aimed at technological renewal and increasing productivity.
Representatives of Japan confirmed their readiness to cooperate with Ukraine in the field of agricultural development, which may lead to the introduction of Japanese technologies and innovations into the Ukrainian agricultural sector. This cooperation is aimed at improving the country's agriculture and can become an important step in strengthening economic ties between Ukraine and Japan.
