The Israel Defense Forces decided to cease hostilities in the Gaza Strip after attacks by Hamas affiliates that resulted in the deaths of two Israeli soldiers. This decision was announced after a significant series of airstrikes targeting the positions of militants. However, the army emphasized that it is prepared to respond harshly to any similar violations in the future.

The IDF stated that after a series of significant retaliatory strikes in response to violations carried out by Hamas, the Israeli army has reinstated compliance with the ceasefire. At the same time, the IDF stressed that they will continue to adhere to the terms of the agreement, but will 'harshly respond' to any violations.

Israel accused Hamas of violating the ceasefire, while Palestinian militants denied these accusations. The cycle of violence between the parties in the Gaza Strip continues to keep the global community on edge.

According to media reports, Palestinian militants attacked Israeli forces in the city of Rafah in southern Gaza, prompting the Israel Defense Forces to carry out airstrikes in that area.

As a result of the series of events, the Israeli army reinstated the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip; however, tensions remain high, and maintaining a peaceful status is still in question.
