The Russian occupying forces have intensified pressure on the southern front, increasing the number of strikes and shelling. However, all attempts to break through the defense of Ukrainian units have been unsuccessful. This was reported by the spokesman of the Southern Defense Forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn, during a telethon.
According to Voloshyn, the enemy has noticeably intensified, increasing the number of strikes with kamikaze drones, artillery shelling, and the overall volume of ammunition. 'The situation for us is quite complicated, and it has certain tendencies towards escalation. The enemy will not only intensify shelling of the positions of the Defense Forces of Ukraine but also increased the number of strikes on populated areas located near the line of combat engagement,' the spokesman emphasized.
The enemy was most active in the Huliaipole direction. For several consecutive days, the Russians have been trying to take control of Poltavka, but Ukrainian defenders are holding back their assault. There were also combat clashes in the Orikhiv direction, but all attempts at storming proved to be unsuccessful.
The increase in pressure from the Russian occupying forces on the southern front complicates the situation at the front.
