A young doctor from Kherson, Artem Yuriyovych, received assistance from the government. After completing his internship, he returned to work at one of the hospitals in his hometown. Every day he performs complex surgeries, as the Kherson region suffers from constant shelling.
To support young specialists who choose to work in dangerous conditions, the government created a 200 thousand hryvnias assistance program. This year, 83 doctors received such assistance, four of whom are from Kherson region.
Artem plans to spend the funds on professional development and improving his surgical skills.
Supporting young doctors who work under difficult conditions in Ukrainian communities is very important. The government assistance program provides the opportunity to offer financial support to new specialists who need improvement and motivation for their work.
Over 2200 medical workers are employed in the Kherson region, but the shortage of specialists is still noticeable. Therefore, supporting young doctors in their professional activities is critically important.
Two young doctors have already received government assistance, while another two are awaiting support in the near future.
Artem plans to spend the received funds on professional development and courses to improve his surgical skills to gain experience.
We encourage young doctors who risk their lives to help those in need during military actions.
