Aston Martin's Digital-Only Dreadnought SUV

On July 17, Aston Martin unveiled the Dreadnought, a virtual SUV created specifically for the game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. This vehicle exists purely in the digital realm and will not enter production. In the game, the Dreadnought serves as a drivable vehicle within the DMZ mode.

Specs and Design Details

Powered by a V12 engine and equipped with all-wheel drive, the Dreadnought delivers supercar-level performance. Its design draws inspiration from the Valiant and Victor models, and the body is crafted from carbon fiber. This two-door SUV also features armor plating and adaptive combat systems, making it well-suited for virtual battlefields.

Inside, the Dreadnought includes Christmas tree accents, carbon fiber trim, Oxford Tan leather upholstery, and metallic gold highlights. The name Dreadnought references the HMS Dreadnought battleship, built in the early 20th century. Aston Martin is also developing a next-generation vehicle platform that will underpin future sports cars and SUVs. Reports indicate that these upcoming Aston Martin models will feature a V12 engine.

The Dreadnought virtual SUV highlights how automotive brands are adapting their products for new media and gaming platforms. This reflects a growing trend of blending car culture with the gaming world, creating fresh opportunities to engage younger audiences. Additionally, the Dreadnought project may play a role in Aston Martin's strategy to showcase technologies and design elements that could eventually appear in real-world production models.
