The Astrakhan gas processing plant in Russia, owned by 'Gazprom', ceased production following a drone attack. Fire engulfed the condensate production facility, which produces gasoline and diesel fuel.

According to Reuters, after several weeks or months the plant will be able to resume operations. In 2024, the plant processed 1.8 million tons of condensate, producing over a million tons of fuel.

It should be noted that this is not the first instance of a drone attack on the Astrakhan gas processing plant. A similar situation occurred in February 2022 when the plant was actively processing natural gas and gas condensate.

After the drone attack, the gas processing plant in Astrakhan was forced to suspend fuel production. This is worth noting, considering previous similar incidents in the history of this enterprise.
