ASUS Unveils the New Zenbook DUO (UX8407) Laptop

ASUS has announced the launch of its latest laptop, the Zenbook DUO (UX8407), in Ukraine, featuring two 14-inch OLED displays. This third-generation dual-screen model brings notable upgrades, including a 50% improvement in battery life. The device is crafted from Ceraluminum, a material that is three times more durable and 30% lighter than standard aluminum.

Specifications and Key Benefits

The Zenbook DUO (UX8407) is equipped with two ASUS Lumina Pro OLED touchscreens, each offering a resolution of 2880x1800 pixels and a 144 Hz refresh rate. A new hidden hinge design reduces the gap between the screens by 70%. In its highest configuration, the laptop runs on an Intel Core Ultra X9 388H processor with 16 cores, delivering graphics performance that is 50% better than previous generations. Additionally, power consumption for single-threaded tasks has been cut by 40%.

The device includes up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a PCIe Gen 4 solid-state drive. With its detachable Bluetooth keyboard, the laptop weighs just 1.6 kg. It also holds MIL-STD 810H certification from the U.S. military, confirming its reliability under various operating conditions.

Research from Microsoft and The New York Times indicates that adding a second screen can boost productivity by 30-50%. This makes the Zenbook DUO an ideal choice for:

  • professionals managing multiple business processes and applications simultaneously;
  • creators and designers who need extra digital workspace for editing graphics and video;
  • students and academics combining writing, watching lectures, and working with sources;
  • workers in hybrid or remote setups who want a full workstation without bulky external monitors.

The Zenbook DUO (UX8407) is now available for pre-order in Ukraine at a recommended starting price of 179,999 UAH. ASUS is also offering its 'Perfect Warranty' program, which includes a free one-year accidental damage protection plan. To activate the warranty, users must register the device within 90 days of purchase.

This launch marks a significant step for ASUS as it expands its footprint in the Ukrainian market. Innovations like the dual OLED screens and enhanced performance highlight the company's efforts to meet the needs of modern users seeking efficient solutions for work and study. This could also drive greater interest in multi-screen laptops within the segment.
