Civilian Infrastructure Targeted in Kharkiv Region Drone Attack
A drone assault on civilian infrastructure in Ukraine's Kharkiv Oblast overnight on February 20 resulted in one fatality, multiple injuries, and a major fire. The attack targeted a civilian enterprise in the Malynivska community of the Chuhuiv district. One person was killed and two others were wounded. The victim's body was recovered from the rubble, and emergency services are currently working at the scene. This attack is part of a wider pattern of drone strikes on Ukrainian civilian areas, which have intensified in recent months.
The strike triggered a massive fire at a warehouse building, with the blaze covering approximately 3,000 square meters. This incident deals a severe blow to the local community, especially coming after a similar drone attack in Bohodukhiv, where a residential building was hit, killing four people. The Bohodukhiv victims included a 34-year-old man, two one-year-old boys, and a two-year-old girl. Two others were injured, including a 35-year-old pregnant woman who required hospitalization.
