Bus Crash in Poland Injures Ukrainian Nationals
A bus carrying Ukrainian citizens crashed on April 15 near the city of Lancut in Poland's Podkarpackie Voivodeship. The 56-year-old driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to hit a barrier and overturn. Authorities confirmed the driver was sober at the time of the incident.
There were six Ukrainian nationals on board: five adults and a 9-year-old girl. The driver and one passenger sustained injuries and were transported to a hospital for treatment. The crash occurred on the A4 motorway, a major route leading toward the city of Rzeszow. This region of southeastern Poland has seen a significant influx of Ukrainian refugees and travelers since the onset of the war.
Emergency aid was provided at the scene by personnel from the 23rd Tactical Air Base's fire brigade and a military ambulance crew from the 21st Training Brigade, who were passing by in a convoy when the accident happened.
