Accident on Sofiivska Street
An accident on Sofiivska Street that occurred on January 7 led to the damage of a water pipeline with a diameter of 300 mm. As a result of the incident, a sinkhole was formed, into which a trolleybus fell. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the accident. Specialists from 'Kyivvodokan' promptly began emergency restoration work on the water supply network, which has been completed, and water supply has been restored to residents.
Work of services and restoration
To rescue the trolleybus, specialists from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) and the Municipal Emergency Rescue Service (MERS) were involved at the scene. During the elimination of the consequences of the accident, a temporary bus route No. 16-K was organized, which helped maintain transport communication in the area.
The municipal enterprise reports that traffic will be fully restored after the completion of the asphalt laying at the excavation site. Restoring the infrastructure is an important step towards normalizing public transport operations in the area.
