Emergency power outages in Ukraine: which regions are facing the most difficult situation
In Ukraine, due to Russian shelling and bad weather conditions, the situation in the energy system remains tense, with emergency power outages in several regions. The most affected regions are Kyiv, Zakarpattia, Chernihiv, and Dnipro. In total, 260 settlements were left without electricity due to heavy snowfall and sleet, which complicated the situation in the energy sector.
As of 9:30 AM on January 12, the level of electricity consumption corresponds to the indicator of the previous working day. Energy workers note that the situation in the energy system remains complex due to the strain on the country's energy infrastructure caused by Russian shelling. It has been noted that further actions in the energy sector will depend on the situation in the country and the weather.
