The Ukrainian airline SkyUp has launched a social program "Wings of Gratitude," which will allow military personnel and veterans to purchase flight tickets for a symbolic price of 1 euro. The initiative aims to support Ukraine's defenders during trips for treatment, relaxation, or visits to their families. Only those with a combatant's ID can take advantage of the offer. This is reported by UNIAN.

The SkyUp program allows you to buy a ticket for 1 euro

As part of the "Wings of Gratitude" project, up to four tickets at a special rate are available on each regular flight of the company.

Passengers will only pay 1 euro for the ticket and separately for airport fees, which can range from 10 to 50 euros depending on the destination.

SkyUp notes that the program will be valid if there are available seats on the flight.

How military personnel can obtain a preferential flight ticket

To participate in the program, it is necessary to confirm the status of a combatant.

The application process looks like this:

  1. Contact SkyUp through the contact center or social media

  2. Send a photo of the combatant ID

  3. Wait for confirmation of available seats on the selected flight

  4. Book a ticket at the special rate

Participants in the program will also receive priority service and additional support during booking.

SkyUp promises to change flight dates free of charge

The company stated that it has taken into account the specifics of military and veterans' service.

If the need arises to change a trip due to a change in vacation or other officially confirmed circumstances, the airline will change the departure date free of charge.

SkyUp's CEO Dmytro Sieroukhov emphasized that for many military personnel, traveling may be related to treatment, recovery, or meeting loved ones, so the company strives to make such trips as accessible as possible.

Currently, SkyUp's regular flights operate from Chisinau airport and cover a number of popular European destinations, including Spain, Greece, France, and other countries.

It should be noted that the tourism brand Join UP!™, founded in Ukraine, is transitioning to a new business model, from a classic tour operator to a vertically integrated service Join Up! Travel Universe.
