The Australian Olympic Committee has launched a new Olympic Future Fund with an initial capital of 50 million Australian dollars. This program aims to provide significant support to high-level Australian athletes preparing for the 2032 Olympic Games in Brisbane. The fund will not only help current Olympians, but will also encourage athletes to pursue long careers and support gender equality in sports.

One of the initiatives of the Fund is financial support for athletes who participated in the Games from Winter 2026 to Summer 2032, in the form of a one-time grant and payments 16 years after the competitions. In addition, the Fund provides support for mother-athletes through grants after childbirth. All these projects are funded through charitable donations, which contribute to the development of sports in Australia.

“This grant helps us recognize the challenges faced by female athletes and provides the necessary support to create a long and sustainable career in sports,” said Olympic rower Alice Wood.

The main goal of the Future Fund is to support and motivate Australian athletes to achieve high results in sports, as well as to ensure the financial independence of the Olympic movement in the country.
