Price Increase of Autogas in Ukraine
Autogas in Ukraine sharply rose in price in December 2023. The main reason for the price increase is the shortage of resources caused by delays in fuel deliveries, especially from the south. This situation has raised concerns among consumers and experts who predict further increases in fuel prices.
This week, autogas may increase in price by another 1-2 hryvnias per liter. This is caused not only by the shortage but also by plans to raise the excise on autogas, scheduled for January 2026. According to forecasts, the excise will rise by €25 per thousand liters, which will add approximately 1.50 hryvnias to the price of each liter.
Expert Serhiy Kuyun notes that a return to previous gas station prices should not be expected.
In the current market conditions, considering the resource shortage, consumers should be prepared for further price fluctuations. Thus, the situation with autogas in Ukraine remains tense, and the forecast for the near future does not promise stability.
