Cancellation of restrictions on money transfers
In 2025, Ukrainian banks lifted restrictions on money transfers between their own cards. Previously, customers who had not confirmed their income were subject to transfer limits based on their risk level. The changes, which came into effect in early April 2025, allow users to transfer funds between their cards without restrictions.
Limits before the cancellation of restrictions
Before the cancellation of restrictions, starting from early February 2025, the following limits were in place:
- Customers with a high risk level could transfer up to 50 thousand hryvnias;
- For those who fell under the medium and low risk levels, the limit was up to 150 thousand hryvnias.
This limitation created certain difficulties for customers who could not confirm their income, but the situation has now changed.
The cancellation of restrictions on transfers between cards opens up new opportunities for users, allowing them to freely manage their finances. This decision has become an important step towards simplifying banking services and enhancing convenience for customers.
The cancellation of restrictions on transfers between cards may positively impact the financial activity of the population, as it simplifies access to their own funds and allows for more effective management of their finances.
This could also stimulate the development of electronic payments and other financial services, which in turn will support the overall economic development of the country.
