The leader of the 'Fatherland' party, Yulia Tymoshenko, opposed the government's idea of introducing VAT for individual entrepreneurs with an annual income of 1 million hryvnias. She believes that this could lead to the closure of many small businesses, which would impact the middle class of the country.
The politician emphasized that it is important to create favorable conditions for the development of small business, rather than complicating its operations through tax increases.
'The government plans to introduce VAT for entrepreneurs with high income, which could seriously damage the Ukrainian middle class. This cannot be allowed!'
Tymoshenko promised to fight for the protection of small and medium businesses from harmful government decisions and to prove that her team will be at the forefront of this struggle.
