A serious incident unfolded at a Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center in Khmelnytskyi. A man wielding a baseball bat forced his way into the building, damaging the front door and the security turnstile. He demanded the release of his son, a conscript identified as G., who had been brought to the center. Officers from the National Police of Ukraine and an investigative team were dispatched to the scene to determine the circumstances.

Lawmaker Heorhiy Mazurashu commented on the event, stating that

“the emotions of a combat veteran at the TCC, whose disabled son was bussed and beaten by its representatives”
were involved. Meanwhile, officials from the Khmelnytskyi Regional Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center reported that on May 8, 2026, at approximately 1:15 PM, conscript G., born in 1980 and subject to military call-up during mobilization, was brought to the center.

The father of conscript G. arrived at the center wearing camouflage clothing and damaged the entrance doors while demanding his son’s release. Property damage was documented and recorded, but no injuries resulted from the incident. The Khmelnytskyi Regional TCC stated that claims of conscript G. being beaten while at the center are not confirmed. Conscript G. left the premises without authorization and is currently being sought according to legal procedures.
