Ukrainian families can now apply for basic social assistance through the Diia application, replacing numerous applications and visits to government institutions with just a few clicks. The new service consolidates several types of support into one monthly payment, saving time and effort. This was reported on the official Diia Facebook page.
Who is eligible for basic social assistance from the state
The new service launched in Diia allows low-income families, single parents, and families without alimony to receive a single payment that consolidates various types of state assistance. The process is maximally simplified: from submitting an application to receiving funds – everything is done online. The service is available for those who already receive state support but want to optimize the process.
How to apply for basic social assistance in Diia?

Update the Diia application and authorize yourself.

Go to the section «Services» → «State Assistance» → «Basic Social Assistance».

Familiarize yourself with the calculated amount of the payment and submit an application.

Select a Diia.Card for payments and decline other types of assistance.

Sign the application with Diia.Signature and request signatures from adult family members.

After gathering signatures, the application is automatically sent for processing.

Wait for a notification about the appointment of the payment.
After approval, funds are credited to the Diia.Card, and the user receives a notification about the result. The service is designed for families receiving assistance as low-income, single parents, or those who have temporary support due to non-payment of alimony.
The service was implemented through the collaboration of the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Ministry of Social Policy with the support of UNDP in Ukraine and funding from Sweden. Experts note that consolidating payments into one is a step towards transparency and convenience.
