The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine plans to cooperate with the Belgian agency for international cooperation Enabel to modernize and strengthen the country's labor market and employment system. The memorandum of understanding was signed by First Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko and Enabel leaders Jean Van Wetter and Dirk Depre.

The agreement is part of the 'BE-Relieve Ukraine' Program aimed at supporting post-war recovery and Ukraine's European integration policy. Enabel will provide support to the Ministry of Economy in various areas, such as enhancing the analytical capacity of the agency, implementing active labor market policies and youth employment, and facilitating information exchange and consultations.

The Belgian agency Enabel coordinates over 200 projects in more than 20 countries around the world. In Ukraine, Enabel implements the BE-Relieve Ukraine initiative, which focuses on energy, construction, healthcare, education, and skill development with a budget of €150 million.

The agreement between the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and Enabel will create opportunities to improve the employment system and enhance the analytical capabilities of the agency, promoting its active development towards European standards.
