During the meeting of the Accessibility Council chaired by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko, and with the participation of the First Lady, Olena Zelenska, issues related to the implementation of the National Strategy for Creating an Accessible Environment in Ukraine and the Action Plan for the next two years were discussed.
Representatives of government agencies and local self-government exchanged experiences regarding the implementation of accessibility principles in communities, particularly during the reconstruction of infrastructure and the introduction of inclusive solutions in social and educational institutions. The Ministry of Finance is also actively working on programs aimed at removing barriers for people with disabilities and facilitating their implementation.
The meeting of the Accessibility Council emphasized the importance of continuous work on ensuring equal opportunities for all citizens of Ukraine, regardless of their physical abilities. Authorities and the public continue their joint efforts to implement specific measures aimed at creating accessibility for all categories of the population and increasing the level of available environment for every citizen of Ukraine.
