In Ternopil, parents of students in grades 5-11 are urged to order cards for free meals in the new school year in advance. They are produced within 25 working days, so without timely application, the child will not be able to use the service at the beginning of the school year. This is reported by the Ternopil City Council.
Cards for Free Meals in Ternopil: Who Needs to Apply
From September 1, free meals in schools will be available to students of all grades. At the same time, students in grades 5-11 who wish to eat in educational institutions need a special card for this.
Students who have not yet received a card, as well as those who have lost or damaged it, need to submit an application. Currently, nearly 4,500 cards have already been ordered through the e-Ternopil application and with the card operator.
The city council emphasizes: without a card, a student will not be able to receive free meals at the educational institution. Therefore, it is advised that parents do not delay the application until the end of August.
How to Apply for a School Meal Card in Ternopil
Applications can be submitted through the mobile application e-Ternopil. All students of Ternopil educational institutions have the right to apply for the card, regardless of their registration location.
To submit an application, it is necessary to prepare:
- the series and number of the child's birth certificate;
- the registration number of the taxpayer's account;
- a photo where the child's face is clearly visible.
After the status of 'Card Ready' appears in the application, it can be picked up at the address: Ternopil, Vyacheslav Chornovil Street, 1, second floor.
The card production takes up to 25 working days. That is why timely ordering allows the child to use free meals from the beginning of the 2026-2027 school year.
