Launch of the Health Screening 40+ Program
Starting January 31, Ukrainians aged 40 and over will begin receiving invitations for a free medical screening through the Diia app. The initiative, known as Health Screening 40+, aims to detect cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and mental health disorders at an early stage. This preventative healthcare program is being implemented with the participation of over 640 registered medical facilities across the country.
The Health Screening 40+ program officially launched on January 1, allowing eligible citizens to receive a basic medical examination at no cost. Already, approximately 1 million people have received information about the program in their Diia app. The first invitations will be sent to those whose birthdays fall early in the year, with notifications timed around their specific birth dates.
How to Join the Program
This screening initiative represents a significant step in improving public health services and population wellness by enabling early detection of serious conditions. The program is part of a broader governmental effort to enhance national health outcomes and prevent severe illness through proactive diagnostics.
To participate in the Health Screening 40+ program:
- Approximately 30 days after your birthday in 2026, a notification will appear in the Diia app.
- After confirming your participation, 2000 UAH, designated exclusively for the Health Screening 40+, will be automatically credited to your Diia.Card within a few days.
- If you do not use Diia, you can open a special card at a bank and apply at a TsNAP (Administrative Services Center) 30 days after your birthday.
By leveraging modern digital tools like the Diia app, the program simplifies access to medical services and encourages citizens to take charge of their health. Its successful implementation could serve as a model for future public health initiatives in Ukraine, demonstrating how technology can facilitate widespread preventative care.
