Drones of the Defense Forces eliminated over 33 thousand occupiers

Units of unmanned systems of the Defense Forces of Ukraine have eliminated a significant number of servicemen of the occupying army, resulting in the enemy losing over 33 thousand personnel. General Oleksandr Syrsky reported on the further enhancement of unmanned system capabilities, pointing to ambitious plans of the Russian Federation regarding the creation of separate unmanned forces.

Russia's plans regarding unmanned systems

According to information, Russia has created separate unmanned forces, which currently number 80 thousand servicemen. According to plans, in the second stage, which will begin in 2026, the number of servicemen in these units is planned to be increased to 165.5 thousand. By 2030, Russia intends to bring the number of servicemen in unmanned systems to nearly 210 thousand.

It is worth noting that the State Order for the production of long-range drones in Russia has been fulfilled by 106% over the year. The military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation is capable of producing over 400 unmanned aerial vehicles daily. In December 2023, about 339 thousand tasks were completed by unmanned aerial complexes, as well as almost 2.1 thousand tasks by ground robotic complexes. The total number of targets hit or destroyed by the Drones of the Defense Forces increased by 31%, and the number of enemy personnel hit increased by more than a quarter.

General Syrsky also noted that, thanks to military intelligence, it is known that the enemy has equally ambitious plans. Oleksandr Syrsky

He stressed that he set the task of forming special units to enhance the effectiveness of the use of unmanned systems. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky instructed to modernize the drone distribution system, which is an important step in enhancing the country's defense capabilities.

These events underscore the importance of developing unmanned technologies in modern conflicts. Given the growing role of drones in military operations, both from Ukraine and Russia, improving the management and use of drones becomes critically important to ensure an advantage on the battlefield. Further capacity enhancement by both sides may significantly impact the course of the conflict, requiring Ukraine to rapidly adapt and innovate in the field of defense.
